Louise C. Ligi is the Director of Community Outreach and Education at our firm. Louise has over 30 years of experience working for community banks in the Scranton area. Following her banking career, she chose a second career as the Director of Volunteer Services with a local non-profit agency operated under the Area Agency on Aging of Lackawanna County. While in that position, she was responsible for recruitment, orientation and placement of volunteers throughout Lackawanna County, in personal care homes and nursing homes. Louise also served as back-up Ombudsman in Lackawanna County after receiving her certification through the Pennsylvania State Ombudsman Tier I and Tier II Training in Harrisburg/Camp Hill. Her role as Director of Community Outreach and Education allows Louise to continue working with seniors in our community and with the many organizations and agencies that provide services to seniors.
Louise is a member of the UNICO National-Keystone Chapter, currently serving as the 2021 First Vice President and will serve as 2022-2023 President. The Keystone Chapter has second largest membership of all the National Chapters in the United States. Louise also is an active member or Board Member of various Senior related organizations including; NEPA Aging Network Alliance (NANA), Lackawanna Inter Agency Council, Wilkes Barre Women’s Organization for Networking (WWON), Abington Business 2 Business, LINK- Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties, Luzerne County Interagency, Luzerne County Senior Networking Alliance and member of the Coalition for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren.
Louise is a member of St. Lucy’s Church, West Scranton and a member of their Altar & Rosary Society as well as a member of the church choir. She lives in Scranton, is married, and has two adult children and two grandchildren. In her spare-time she enjoys photography, antiquing, spending time with family, friends and traveling.
