Louise C. Ligi is the Director of Community Outreach and Education here at our firm. Louise has over 30 years of experience working for community banks in the Scranton area. Following her banking career, she chose a second career as the Director of Volunteer Services with a local non-profit agency operated under the Area Agency on Aging of Lackawanna County. While in that position, she was responsible for recruitment, orientation and placement of volunteers throughout Lackawanna County in personal care homes and nursing homes. Louise also served as back-up Ombudsman in Lackawanna County after receiving her certification through the Pennsylvania State Ombudsman Tier I and Tier II Training in Harrisburg/Camp Hill. Her role as Director of Community Outreach and Education allows Louise to continue working with seniors in our community and with the many organizations and agencies that provide services to seniors.
Louise is a current and five-year member of UNICO National-Keystone Chapter, serving as 2017 Committee Member for 5th Annual Fundraiser and elected to join the Board of Directors for a 3-year term; Current and five year Member of NEPA Aging Network Alliance (NANA) – 2016 and 2017 Public Relations and Marketing Chair, and Serving as NANA officer in charge of Information 2018 and 2019 for our NANA Directory; Current and six year Member of Lackawanna Inter Agency Council, Public Relations Chair; Current and five year Member of Wilkes Barre Women’s Organization for Networking (WWON) Vice President April 2015 to March 2016, President, April 2016 to March 2017; Current and six year Member of LINK, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties; Current and six year Member of Luzerne County Interagency; Current and six year Member of Luzerne County Senior Networking Alliance; Six year supporter for the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, 2017 Committee Member for five years; four year participant in the Sacred Heart Remembrance Walk, Organized our Colbert & Grebas fundraiser for 2019 Remembrance Walk, Colbert & Grebas as a Gold Sponsor of the Walk which had the largest Walk Team in the event; Volunteered for the last 11 years at St. Joseph’s Festival.
Louise is a member of St. Lucy’s Church, West Scranton and a member of their Altar & Rosary Society as well as a member of the church choir. She lives in Scranton, is married, and has two adult children and two grandchildren. In her spare-time she enjoys photography, antiquing, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
